Decided to try a self portrait mostly as an exercise but wanted to give it a different twist by adding reflective spheres, orbs, bubbles... Anyway, here it is...

I took this reference image several years ago while on vacation. I have always wanted to paint it. I left the right upper corner a bit loose and faded because to me, these ladies are in the 'twilight' of their life, living life to the fullest before they fade off...

WITH RESPECT!
I generally refer to artists as KORNFLAKES. Those that push the edge of the bowl stay crisp! Those that fall into the mix like the majority that do it for the money, JUST GET LIMP AND SOGGY.( If you know what I mean?)Your talent is true and your love for it is clear.I REALLY LOOK FORWARD TO MORE OF YOUR WORK. with respect, Jim

Kat your work is very good, I luv B/W photorelism. For my B/W portraits I used, black, silver and a mixed of black&silver. The paint is basecoat which is used for car painting. After you finish the B/W portrait spray a clearcoat over it.Believe me they come out stunning!!
